The Crying Me – A to Z Challenge
I fell into a trance
Under the influence
Of Alcohol, friend, religion
And did what I did
The little petals
Supposed to bloom and blossom
Left aghast, that fine day
When humanity was murdered
Aren’t animals better than humans?
The garden’s gone
The pains refuse to subside
Dream of a better world died
Where’s the fairyland of love
I created? left a loud anguish cry
Not even a child’s brutal death
Affect the pearl inside the shell?

You have eloquently put across something I wanted to write about and still might. Where is the humanity? I love your last line. Three pearl inside the shell is such an apt metaphor
Brought out the levels of apathy and depravity we have stooped down to as a society.
Hi Rohan! This is such a topical poem …something all of us are questioning at the moment – Where is the humanity?
An excellent and eloquent expression of the hurting incident disturbing us deeply. Very topical and well written.. I liked the imagery in your poem.
The last two lines are so powerful.
This is such a powerful poem. Asking the questions that troubles many today. Powerful indeed.
