There are times in life when we need to see things in a different perspective. It helps us to open our mind to new thoughts and also to lighten the burden when in distress.
So, here are two Haiku depicting a perception.
Speech in parliament
Eyewash or authentic
Tears when in love

Wonderful. Not a poetry person at all but somehow it touched my heart too.
I am glad that the verses touched your heart, Anindya. π
Writing poetry is a special talent which I do not possess. It requires a conciseness and a different approach to thinking outside the box. Congratulations for successfully using this talent in your haiku. #CherylProWriting
Thank you so much for your kind words, Cheryl. I am happy that I could write poems and pour out my thoughts.

Hi Rohan! Glad to connect with you here. It takes a special kind of talent to convey so much in so little. So, these two Haikus made an interesting read. Short but deep, it was beautifully written π
Thanks Manisha. Happy that you liked the lines. π
I have been in awr with Haiku lately. It’s small but that takes effort.
Beautifully written Rohan. π
Thank you so much, Ramya. Writing a haiku is a fun task for me. It challenges me to play with words and effectively come out with a compelling haiku.
I clearly do not get Haiku. I tried understanding the traditional Japanese ones thinking that since they’re ancient and so respected, there must be something remarkable about them that I’m not getting. I read some written by contemporary poets, such as yourself, and I still didn’t get them. To me, they feel like a shadow in air which I’m seeing but my vision is blurred. I’m reaching out to touch it and it just dissolves away and so, I’m left feeling that I’d never know what it was.
I believe, my quest must continue and I hope to understand Haiku someday and return to enjoy your poems here.
Till then, keep writing. The day I’ll be enlightened, I’ll return with a huge appetite π
Thank you so much reading my haiku, Mansi. I understand what you are trying to say. Even I was struggling initially, but with a little practice in writing haiku and reading more about it, I somehow manage to write one.
I look forward to see you soon. π
