Memories are key not to the past, but to the future. A wise man had said. But what if a person has no future?
Abandoned as a child, he lived on streets. The only memories he has was that of a growling stomach, craving for food.
Today, as a young man, his thoughts frequented to those days.
However, time changes everything.
“How wrong was I about my future, living in a palace which not only allows me to stay, but also to earn”, he pondered.
“I do have a future now!” He beamed.
“Sir, your breakfast is ready!”
Here’s another edition of Friday Fictioneers, hosted by the lovely Rochelle Wisoff – Fields. Much thanks to Kelvin M. Knight for this week’s prompt.
